June 1, 2007 - Rennwerks Mustang GT wins 2007 Cannonball One Lap of America

The Rennwerks prepared 2006 Mustang GT finished first in its class in the TireRack Sponsored
2007 Cannonball One Lap of America. The Rennwerks Mustang GT competed in the SSGT2 BB Class --
a class which is for moderately priced sports coupes with larger sized engines.
The Rennwerks Mustang prevailed against several other Roush and Saleen prepared late model Mustang GTs
and C5 Corvettes. Although the Rennwerks Mustang was not the most powerful Mustang in its class,
the overall setup and handling of the Rennwerks prepared Mustang enabled it to handily beat its competitors.
The Cannonball event covered over 4,600 miles and 15 states in 7 days. There was an average of 2-3 different
road events per day. The events ranged from wet and dry skidpad, road coarse circuits such as Mid-Ohio and
Miller Motorsports Park, to short track ovals and drag strips. The Rennwerks Mustang finished in the top 3
in every event, and usually was the winner of each event. For more information about the Cannonball
