Rennwerks #84 Mk III Factory Five Challenge Race Car

This is the Rennwerks #84 Mk III Factory Five Racing (FFR) Challenge car which was the back-up car for the 2007 FFR National Champion Dave Standridge.  The car was built by LK Motorsports (www.lkmotorsports.com) and completed in January 2006.  We paid $38,200 to have LK Motorsports build this car.  The car was built to be a National Championship contender.  Today, it would cost $40,000 to have LK Motorsports build this car.  The car was run in some HPDE and time trial events in 2006 and was raced for half the season in 2007.  Buy this car now and save $$$$.

This car has been professionally maintained by Rennwerks.  It is legal for the NASA FFR Challenge series.  For more information about the NASA FFR Challenge Series, go to www.ffrchallenge.com.  This car could also be run in NASA PTA and TTA, or with additional modifications it could be run in NASA ST-2.  Or use the car to run in NASA HPDE or for track-day events.  The car has a passenger seat installed.  The car is NOT street legal and was NOT built to be street legal. 

The car needs no work to race – just jump in and drive.  Car comes with a NASA log book and AMB transponder.  The car is competitive and reliable.

Motor: 

• 225 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel
• Freshly built 5.0L small block Ford Windsor motor (not a junkyard motor)
• ECU is Ford Electronic fuel injection (EFI)
• Remote oil cooler with SS braided lines
• Remote power steering cooler with SS braided lines

Transmission:

• Tremec T-5 5-speed transmission
• Forward position shifter (using S-10 tail housing)
• Ballistic blanket on transmission
• Ford Motorsport King Cobra clutch

Suspension:

• 3-link rear suspension
• Solid rear axle with 2.73 gears as required by the FFR Challenge Series
• Limited slip differential built to race specs
• Factory Five Racing front control arms
• Factory Five Racing rear trailing arms
• Bilstein coil over shocks
• Hypercoil springs
• Power steering with remote cooler

Brakes:

• Front: 1990 Ford Mustang brake calipers and rotors.  Rotor diameter is 10.5"
• Rear: 1995 Ford Mustang brake calipers and rotors.  Rotor diameter is 10.5"
• Brake ducting to front and rear brakes

Safety Equipment:

• Kirkey driver and passenger seats
• Simpson right side net for driver
• Simpson 5-point latch style belts for driver and passenger
• FFR tow hooks on front and back
• Fire suppression system with nozzle in engine and driver compartments
• Master kill switch in driver compartment

Wheels:

• 17x9" 5-lug MB Motorsports alloy wheels on front and back (meets the min 20 lbs requirement by Challenge Series rules)
